At TALKIZZ we want every person to be able to get to know the studio, read about it and book time in it, independently and comfortably. That is why we work to make the talkizz.co.il website accessible to people with disabilities, and to adapt it to the requirements of Israel's Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013, and to Israeli Standard SI 5568, which is based on the WCAG 2.1 guidelines at level AA.
Adjustments made on the site
- The site is built in Hebrew with right-to-left text direction on the Hebrew pages, and in English with left-to-right direction on the English pages, with a proper language declaration for screen readers.
- A hierarchical heading structure, defined page regions (navigation, main content, footer) and a "Skip to main content" link at the start of every page.
- Full keyboard navigation, with a clear focus indicator for every interactive element.
- Alternative text for images, and an accessible name for every button and link.
- Color contrast adapted between text and background.
- The background video on the home page can be paused and played, and the logo carousel scrolling can also be paused.
- The studio booking form includes labels for every field, error and status messages announced to assistive technologies, and the ability to book without a mouse.
- The site respects the user's operating-system preference for reduced motion.
- The site is suited to display on a computer, tablet and phone, and the text can be enlarged using the browser or the accessibility button.
- Every page has an accessibility button that lets you increase and decrease text size, turn on high contrast, highlight links, switch to a readable font, stop motion and enlarge the mouse cursor. The settings are saved in your browser.
Known limitations
- YouTube videos and the embedded Google Maps map are provided by third parties, and their accessibility depends on them. Some videos may not have captions.
- The site was checked with automated tests and manual tests done by us. It has not yet been reviewed by a certified accessibility consultant. Some parts of the site may still not be fully accessible, and we continue to improve them.
- The "Accessibility" button improves the browsing experience, but does not replace the accessibility settings of the browser or operating system.
